His grave clinch on power over the dead bodies
of the people demonstrating against him is astonishing wide range of folks
across the globe, but not those who knew him.
During his 24 years
tenure, the ICC first wanted sitting president used a lot of brutal tactics to
stay in power.
Worth to be mentioned his survival of the famous coup by Baath party on 23rd august 1990 and the sadist killings of all the involved generals in the aftermath.
Worth to be mentioned his survival of the famous coup by Baath party on 23rd august 1990 and the sadist killings of all the involved generals in the aftermath.
But the big shock
followed ten years later in 2000 when he departed the spiritual leader of the
then united NCP Hassan Al Turabi after long internal conflict about who should rule.
After that incident, the field marshal proved to the world he will spear no
mean to dictate alone over the country.
On the shadows of the latest bloody
demonstrations against him, the Sudanese president has promised more brutal
suppression against the hopeful youth flagging in cities across the country demanding
freedom and a better life. In a recent leak from the Sudanese cabinet, Al Bashir
secretly quoted "thundering on his ministers to do whatever in order to
silence the demonstrators even if the price is to get rid of the half of the
population in the country".
So far Omar Al Bashir schemes have caused a lot
of damages in the fragile society; the man is using the tribalism, nepotism and
faith as main tools to divide as much as he can so as to prevent a united
opposition against his lengthening rule. And this might be the answer for the question:
why he has ruled for so long?
In a country where the tribe constitutes the main coherence agent, it's
hard to unify people in a united front ignoring the basics of this dilemma.
Al
Bashir's regime is playing well over all these differences , the Sudanese
security agency is maintaining an exhausted list of tribal and spiritual
leaders to be used for mobilization in time of need , a good example of that
was when the regime used an awful and disguised tactic when it lost Abu
Karshola area to SRF in April 2013 . Where we have seen ruthless ethnic, tribal
and religious lines of action have been used to help recruiting warriors for
the PDF (popular defense forces) which are special militias with sole loyalty
to Al Bashir and his regime. Abu Karshola Village returned to the regime's
control shortly after that but solidarity among locals lost for the unknown.
This could provide answers to the reasons behind
the frequent failures of the revolutionary endeavors by Sudanese political
activists to get the people out of their homes for demonstrations.
The NCP has succeeded subtly in seeding the fear of the obscure future
among the ordinary citizens , their minds stuffed with amusing stories of the salvation
government about possible retaliations from marginalized belts in Sudan
if Omar Al Bashir thrown out of the
republican palace and at the same time the
NCP run wild in fixing the image of a ruined Sudan in the minds of the people
utilizing state owned media and accomplice regional supporters in this
continuous vehement campaigns against the opposition .
Another important agent is religion, because
the NCP central fib is to symbolize Al Bashir as a leader whose main drive is ISLAM,
hence anything against him should be interpreted as an envious act from a
secularists conspirators with support from the infidels (USA,ISRAEL) in order
to windup the Sudanese Caliphate and To alter the principles of the conservative society with a parasitic
liberalism.
The eerie fib was good; it stripped off any sign of revolution each time
the uprising increases
No wonder,
the NCP now has satiated enough experience to shatter the hopes of the youthful
generation in Sudan. Thanks to 24 years on power.
